The Stupids are as dumb as they come, true to the children's book characters. Any child who is a fan of the books will love this movie, as it's one silly thing after another. For example, Tom Arnold, as Stanley Stupid, goes into a planetarium, and his daughter, Petunia, accidentally starts the sky show/5(20). The Stupids, from Ipswich, England, formed in and played some blazingly fast US-influenced hardcore punk/thrash in a time and place that was mostly filled with crusty metal punk & anarcho-punk. Where other such bands had mainly poignant and political lyrics, the Stupids wrote comical, less serious lyrics on subjects as diverse as the.

See actions taken by the people who manage and post ers: K.   The book, The Stupids Die, is not one of my favorite 's about a family with the last name Stupid, and this family does very goofy things. The idea of people doing goofy things reminded me of the Amelia Bedelia series, but unlike the Amelia Bedelia books this one doesn't use a variety of language. It also pokes fun at the character's intelligence.

And the book I'm least likely to get rid of, one that faces out on any shelf I put it on, is the Allard/Marshall classic "The Stupids Die," a picture book about a family so divorced from reality.   ANASTASIA HIGGINBOTHAM is the author and illustrator of Divorce Is the Worst, Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness, Death Is Stupid, and Tell Me About Sex, Grandma —all part of the Ordinary Terrible Things series. She lives in Brooklyn. Librarians love her, but Brand: Dottir Press.

The title had us a little "uneasy," but the book was plain fun. The Stupids "die" when the lights go out. We bought for a 6-year-old grandson. Really hit him in his funny bone. Completely silly. The book generated many laughs from him and his enjoyment generated smiles from us/5(29).

The Stupids Die is a book that seems to have been written purely for its entertainment value, The Stupids die book is the case with the other three books, but something about the presentation of the comedy in the series always serves to charm me.

The scene where Stanley (Tom Arnold) and Petunia (Alex McKenna) walk into the auditorium and think they've died, is a reference to the book "The Stupids Die", where the entire family experiences a blackout, and think they've died. Another book in the series The Stupids Die gets banned due to objections about the word "die" in its title.

No, I am not kidding. I also discovered in my research that parents these days are teaching their kids that the word "stupid" is a bad word, similar to sh*t or the f-bomb.

I'm picturing those parents leading the charge to ban the Stupids. The Stupids die, another piece from the team of James Marshall and Harry Allard, tells how when the Stupids experience a power outage, they think they've died. It just occurred to me, while tagging this book, that it's rather difficult to come up with tags for this book--because nothing really happens/5(7).
